The Modern Warefar logo apears, then the screen goes black and the PS3 freezes. Now, other times, it loads fine and the patch works in private and online.

I'm using daft's patch, which is perfect, so can anyone tell me how many files should be in the USDIR section on filezilla? Where the patch_mp.ff goes? I only have 4 files total in there, including the patch_mp.ff. Now, my MW2 file has about 6-7 files including the patch_mp.ff.

Any ideas on what to do? I've tried re data transferring, and same outcome.

you could try deleting all ur cod4 data on the 3.55 CFW PS3, reinstalling it and installing the custom patch to make sure you didnt accidently delete something from there when you put the modded patch in. just an idea

^^ Like he said. Delete the patch from your 3.55 and download a new one.
When you put the patch on, rather than dragging and dropping, just use a hex editor and copy and paste over the clean patch. It should work fine that way..

turns out its the disc. I tried my brothers disc and works everytime. Can I ask something tho? How come all the challenges don't open even after playing a few games online? Any tricks? Other than that I love your patch!

challenges need to be in a online game when set otherwise they wont work so host online and give challenges..

Tried it. It opens, I'd say 75% of all the stuff. Some gun attachments aren't open, all the challenges aren't opened...I've tried doing it a few different ways...no dice. Like, I'm level 55, but the challenges for level 10 or whatever aren't opened/completed. Weird.

I was gonna say delete some stuff of your ps3 recourse that was happening to my friend on world at war then he deleted some stuff and it worked.
