Make sure when you do the internet setup, use the right IP, and use ps3 proxy of course, but make sure on the PS3 it's set to port 8080, and the PS3 proxy must be on the computer that's directly connected to your modem/router or whatever. I tried doing it with a computer that's connected wireless but it didn't work. So make sure it's on the computer that is connected to the modem.

Also make sure you do not have a firewall running on your pc or it might not connect on your ps3 ....
And press start on ps3 proxy offcourse.
When you setup your connection on your ps3 don't use the connection test ...
Just sign in after you turned your firewall off and pressed start on ps3 proxy.

SieRox is right never use the assigned ip u get from your router for example when u use whatsmyip.org etc... always use ipconfuig to find it, also tip if using vista run proxy as administrator and also disable ur firewall if its not letting the proxy work.

a test is to try and sign in without ur proxy running if u get a error message then it should have worked.
