This is nothing new, people have made DPAD controlled menus before. It's just not as stable or smooth.

this menu scrolls with L1 R1.. it is smoth & stable

I've known how to do DPADs for W@W and COD4 for a while now it's just pointless as it's just not as smooth as using buttons like L1 etc. Why you think DaftVader etc never used dpads? They all know how to use them.
