Wiind
Error… Cat invasion!
**** me you ask for help and when some one helps you you through it back n their faces
what he was trying to say is that all you need is an unstable connection, ie take up bandwith like uploading a vider downloading porn, any thing that will slow don you connection (PING) will give yo a better chance of being host

now when youre on about youre ethernet you want to be looking at creating a lag switch this also slows you PING

Hope this helped

I used to be able to do that but lately my connection has been very dtrong and i've been uploading 1.5GB file, downloading 10 torrents and running a few speedtests - w/o success! AAARRRGGGHHH!

To put it simple, since you aren't using the same internet connection for both, you'll need to make a lag switch... or if you do have a router that wireless, or just an extra cord, plug your laptop into the connection shared with the PS3, use speed test or upload a ~10 min video to youtube and you'll have a good chance of getting host. It won't always work though, my parents usually have movies downloading while I play and it doesn't affect me much, my nets too fast :P

Or maybe it has to do with your NAT type. I noticed that people need a type 1 or 2 to host. I have a type 3 with perfect connection but I have never been the host. There are all kinds of guides to change your NAT type from 3 to 2 on youtube.
