1. Open up 1.3 patch with a hex editor. We must copy the text highlighted

2. Now open up the 1.2 patch. Paste the code from the 1.3 patch and overwrite the hex code in the 1.2 patch.

You are basically modifying the header, this should trick the ps3 into thinking its a 1.3 patch but file will contains 1.2 patch data so should install the 1.2 thinking its a 1.3

Experiment with it and see what you can do with it

even if it does work u will be playing on 1.2servers not 1.3 kinda the same ting as bypassing but on different server lawl

This is a good theory- I think the header is about the only part of the pkg that isn't encrypted and so is possible to edit. When people try to install the 1.2 patch they usually get an error which could be caused by the PS3 reading the header and expecting the 1.3 version but finding the 1.2 instead. So header "spoofing" could be the answer. Nice one



That is a disadvantage if you can already bypass, but some people find it impossible so this could be the answer

I just tried with a US 1.2 and US 1.3 patch sorry it did'nt work .The file would not even download from pc.I got a (80029563)
