Here is a way that allows me to bypass very easy....
YOU KNOW THE DRILL LOL
1.Delete Patch
2.Delete Gamesave
3.Load you hacked Gamesave (copy it 2 times)
4.Load COD4
5.Hit "O" when it asks to download the patch
6.hit your PS BUTTON
7.Sign in
8.As soon as you hit sign in hold your "X" button and hit the PS BUTTON once (1time)
This will allow you to bypass much faster than normal

Works with 1.40? no sh1t.
