(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I have recently blew the dust of my CoD4 disc and tried to load the game (which the PS3 picks up), i then start the game as normal and it gives me a patch update (1.40) so i download and install) then it comes up with the title 'Call of Duty: Modern Warfare' below this it has HTML yes or no...

I've tried clicking 'yes' and it says 'an error has occur please press the PS button and return home' with FATAL ERROR below :'(

and

If i click 'no' then it just says 'an error has occur please press the PS button and return home'

Your help with a solution will be grateful

Note: i have tried signing out and loading' which doesnt work unfortunately

Disconnect your modem from your console, reboot console, get to main menu, reconnect router/modem. sorted
If nothing of this works report back and I will try to find some other solutions, glad to help

i have also deleted the patch and re-installed incase it was corrupt

Turn off your router and start cod 4. When you have reached the multiplayer area, reconnect your router and sign into playstation network. And then it should work fine

Sadly yes you do have to do it everytime.... But for me, after i did that lots of times, somehow it got fixed.. lol..

Have you tried your disc in a friends PS3? Just to eliminate any other possible causes for error?

Nope mate it works when i turn the router off mate but all my mates can just place the game in and it'll work i just cba going downstairs to reset the router everytime i want to play CoD4 any other solutions
