Is there a way I can mod cod4 without a jailbroken PS3. I don't have RFOM, but I understand i can use patch blocker. What can you do with patch blocker. I doubt you can host modded lobbies. Is all you do copy codes from only and put it into your cod4 files and delete the game data?

Yes, but not through patches. Only using a patchblocker or RFOM with dvars.


Bypass game updates and play on lower servers. IE. Doing patched glitches


Copy your save data, replace the files, copy the save data to your profile once finished modding, delete the game data utility for it, start the patchblocker and configure your network settings to correspond with it.

Yes you can, that's a dvar. You'll only be able to do it on a 'patched' server though meaning only the people using a patch blocker will be able to connect to you. If you're wanting a friend to JOIN you, you'll have to make him patch block the game as well. If he DOESN'T patch block the game, he will be unable to connect to you because you are on a different server.
