Try resetting your router. If you share your connection with someone whos downloading it will effect your gameplay on your ps3. Otherwise you might need to change your internet provider. Unless its wireless. Then move it closer to your wireless router

when its says "downloading gamesetting" constantely it may mean your router has problems , resset as he said. If that dont work it means your disk froze while you were on ps3, this doesnt freeze your ps3, it freezes your disk. There fore having a corrupted disk. which can only result in hacking. If you have hacked, thhen thats why. If you didnt , your shit out of luck as in revolving in buying a new call of duty 4..

im having this same problem...i just got a new modem beacause my old one fried last week. i can play WaW just fine, but cod4 wont work.
