You need to go to your main menu on the PS3, go to game data utlity and delete the cod4 save game data, then delete the cod 4 saved game data, then copy your hacks, then start cod4 when the patch appears press O and then press the playstation button and start signing in through the XMB.

Delete the update. Or else I wouldn't know. Maybe you can hack with the patch 1.40 on, as I saw a guy yesterday stabbing me with an AK-47 in third person mode. I couldn't kill him as well (maybe I'm just bad lol). I got it on video, maybe I will upload it (once I find the plug-in thing of my camera).

The XMB is where you press the ps button, then go to account managemant, then start to sign in and out through that.
