GameTrailers apparently got to play the MP and can't say much about it in the video due to privacy agreements, but they seemed very impressed by it.

At the video GT analyst mentioned that It made a huge impression on them. Features like flexible loadouts, clever gamemodes that make users use advanced technology and a big push to support e-Sport. As far as I know It has rumored BO2 will follow from Modern Warfare 3’s poinstreak system. Possible point streak reward will include Heat vision, Item Packages, Charlene, FA38 Jets, C.L.A.W., Assault Sentry Drone, Predator UAV, V.T.O.L Drone, X-47 Pegasus and many more Automatic unmanned drones. Black Ops 2 multiplayer will take place entirely in 2025.

It really made me wonder what they saw that made it stand out so much. I think some of the excitement for it was dampened by MW3's lackluster gameplay. So something about Black Ops II MP got them hooked. Can't wait to see more. Its going to be a long 8 weeks. Oh yeah, Treyarch's game design director David Vonderhaar has said on You must login or register to view this content. that the many new details about the multiplayer mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will be revealed beginning eight weeks from now.Treyarch has previously confirmed that they planned to showcase the game at Gamescom. This means that in 8 weeks, we might be getting Black Ops 2 MP Details (8 weeks from now is August 14). The day after, Aug 15th is Gamescom.

I sure do hope GT is right about this. I would like to see Black Ops II bring COD back to being a great online shooter.

Well get it going then, should bring out more gameplay because it's sort of hard to wait seeing all these talks and rumours about the game itself

Yeah thats very true, which is a shame they seem to be working very hard on that game to make it as good as possible.

COD ceases to amaze!

As much fun as it is to bash Call of Duty, I think we need to give it to Activision this time. Black Ops II really is looking fantastic, and it's looking to be just the step forward people have been asking for for years. I'd say it's deserving of the best multiplayer game of E3. Honestly, it's not worth worrying about who got the award. Everyone who watched E3 knows what was there, what interested them, and what won for them.
