No Support, no death streaks, Ghost is tweaked(I actually sound whore so those nobody ass UAV or Ghost people don’t really bother me anyway), maps look great, etc. I am pumped. As you know, unlike most I am honest and rational. I know that right now this looks like greatest game ever, by January I will be angry with certain aspects, but will play the shit out of it regardless.

My issue is COD franchise disguising their quest to make the game more noobyfriendly by using the word, “objective”. You see in COD community if you want to get people to buy into your thread or idea, you have to attach propaganda words…Words like “camper, try hard, overpowered, panic knife” or “OBJECTIVE”.

Example: that guy who went 40-5 was being a try hard camping with that overpowered PP90, panic knifing me…Oh and I only went 10-30 because I am an objective player, blah blah derp derp”

Brings me to my point. Score Streaks are a good idea. I loved Point Streaks(I once got a Reaper with ZERO gun kills haha). However, they are inherently noob friendly. They paint the picture as, “we will reward the objective players”. The reality is, they are rewarding the noobs who shoot down air support and call in UAVs all game long by giving the score points. UAV isn’t any better than Ghost. I still say Ghost should be removed and UAV should be a 7 streak. That way you can’t hide but every Tom, Dick, Harry and his momma can’t get UAV 80% of the game. UAV Spam and Portable radars lead to Ghost use people. Your inability to kill someone unless they are a red dot on a minimap is what makes these guys turn to Ghost…I rarely ever use Ghost btw, but I don’t diss people who use it. UAV and Ghost* the same to me.

So I welcome the ease of getting Dogs and Gunships at least once a game(Twice come Christmas) but I wish they would be honest. Don’t say you want to reward people for playing more objective. Say that you want to make it easier for lesser players to get kill streaks, so you will help them out. Good players know that being objective is way easier than people make it out to be. You simply get kills, maintain flags with kill streaks and have a rape fest. Bad players are the ones spending more time pointing a Stinger/Strela up at the sky than getting kills. Bad players are the ones tripping capping when you’re up 150-35. Killwhoring and playing objective isn't mutually exclusive. I like a mixture of both. Also news flash...Defending a flag in a tightly contested Dom game isn't camping either. But we know it"s easier to make excuses. Bad players are the ones trying to cap a flag while losing 35-180.* I wouldn’t be surprise if the next COD gives you two points for shooting down air support. In Black Ops* 1, good teams had Blackbirds, Napalms, Dogs, Chopper Gunners up all game and dominated and won. Bad players couldn’t get higher than a Care Package or Sam Turrent I liked it that way :carling:

So I expect to see UAV, Counter UAV, Care Package and RC Cars all game long…Good news is, at least it’s better than seeing Noob Bombers, EMPS and Escort Airdrops all game. Support in MW3 was like Call of Duty Welfare. Score Streaks are more like Coupons and I guess I like that :carling:

i say take out any and all UAV, Blackbird, Radar revealing killstreaks and equipment and Take out any perks that counter that i.e. Ghost, Assassin, Cold Blooded, Blind Eye.

so the blackbird may be a high pointstreak but so what,
if you need to see the enemy and where he is, and/or which way he is facing, then you are a noob.
i hate how treyarch is listening to all these pro's and making an anti noob game.
i mean they put sights that detect campers (MMS Sight), and
Ghost that doesnt hide campers. yeah i know everyone hates camping and it can be bad but FUCKING DEAL WITH IT!

i should be able to counter any killstreak the enemy has, BECAUSE THEY ARE KILLSTREAKS, things that get kills for you. fucking noobs.

in sumary, im just saying it should be more gun on gun, where skill is key. and when enemies are using blackbirds, thats not fair, even if your a noob or pro.

UAV assist kills help build streaks now too? That is fine, but I swear none of you better not come on here in November-March bitching about Ghost. This Black Ops 2 will be UAV central. I will definitely have a Counter UAV on one of my SMG rushing classes.



I actually found Blackbird to be my favorite killstreak from BO1. What it allows you to do may be noob friendly but it's not easily obtained by noobs so it more or less makes the rich richer. If you're good enough to get a Blackbird then you will rape even more.

I agree! I am so happy at the fact that I can now run multiple perks, that way if I run ghost/cold blooded I can also run other useful perks in the same tier even if I have to sacrifice a secondary or etc. I believe that the UAV won't get spammed as much because of the RC XD. Noobish players would rather get that cheap quick kill. Hopefully it won't be a UAV fest like in MW3.

UAV will be just as bad I am sure. Not to mentioned scopes that see enemies around corners.

You should probably leave the critiquing till AFTER the game is released. You look quite sloppy making so many assumptions and to be honest you're going to be one of those people to make a new thread when the game comes out with a title, "do you LOVE black ops 2!?!?!11"

How am I "assuming" or even vaguely being negative about the game????? You mean the game has to be released for me to say I think things like UAV assist and Canine kill assists counting towards killstreaks are made to keep noobs competitive? I mean BEFORE MW3 released Support didn't seem nooby. However, after its released why can't I presume?

My thread is not saying Black Ops 2 will be good nor bad, I personally think it will be good/addictive like all Call of Duty games are(I mean regardless of how much we bitch we still play them).However, all my thread is doing is talking about the marketing and "COD community politically correct" vernacular.

My thread IS talking about what we DO KNOW ALREADY. I am saying using phrases like, "rewarding objective players" and adding various thermal scopes to help fight against these "campers" are really noob game mechanics in disguise.

They are "rewarding" the guy who is terrible and trying to triple cap all game with easier killstreak rewards like UAV and RC Cars. They are adding thermal scopes and different optic sights to help scrubs find the enemy easier yet they pretend it's to find campers. Things like rewarding points towards killstreak from shooting down killstreaks and Canine Units isn't rewarding "objective" players. It is just trying to keep them from getting absolutely destroyed by superior players like in Black Ops 1. Chopper Gunner and Dogs in BO1 was deadly. So they decided to help players compete. That way if they kill 4 of your dogs and shoot down your helicopter instead of getting nothing, they get a 400-500 killstreak.

I think BO2 will be great. I stand by all my points. I don't mind them making the game in a way so bad or novice players can compete and I applaud their removal of Support. I am just saying just be honest about it. You're not rewarding "objective" players. Your helping noobs. Potentially earning a 6-700 killstreak solely from shooting dogs and getting UAV assists is about as Noob Friendly as it gets.

You look quite misinformed accusing me of anything other than what I implicitly stated. I didn't mention anything about specific guns, perks, tactics, killstreaks. All I did was state that BO2 removed Deathstreaks and Support to throw the good players a bone. But they also have things in place to help bad players.

I agree, but i still have to say it won't be that bad. If You follow BO devs on twitter, then nearly every day there is a discussion about how to do things. We spoke about UAV (i said make it bigger and easier to see, as it annoys me in MW3 - sometimes takes TOO LONG to notice it), we spoke recently about how Your scorestreak will be growing etc. UAV will be bigger, faster to spot and they even though to make it 5 kill reward We will see but defo we won't get UAV and camp fest after two months, where most good players like US (ovation) will get to know the maps, respawns and go with higher killstreak, which will be BETTER, why? Hardline rewards higher high killstreaks (i don't get it but i'm happy with it). So i won't be here complaining straight away, i will give them two-three months for patches and stuff, then i will quit it or enjoy it. I don't enjoy MW3 too much. Just like someone said on Twitter, give Us good hit detection, no host compesation (or not as huge as it is now) and no shit spammed killstreaks and we will be happy.
