The Ghost Perk Done Right

The problem isnt camping with assassin, or camping, or rushing or which is better. Thats all opinions.

The problem is UAV itself.

Get rid of UAV and the game would get so much better and would almost get rid of noobs who cant win a gun fight without UAV.
having a UAV gives reasoning to perks like ghost/cold blooded/ assassin.

I say campers r not a huge issue cuz there are so called rushers who slow down and hold L1 every corner. Also people with no gun skills who lay down to shoot to get kills. Everyone has their own play style, but certain elements of the game make it easier/harder for people to play the same game.

Exactly. UAV pre in MW2 was about as "balanced" as possible. The 5-7-9, 5-7-11 or 7-11-25 killstreak setups in particular prevented UAV spam. Stopping Power and Danger Close prevented the major need for Cold Blooded although many people still used that perk.

People hate things that make games more difficult for them while simultaneously using every shortcut possible.

People attach "camper" and "tryhard" to anything they don't like to get sympathy. UAV can actually aid campers. You could use Assassin to counter people camping with Portable radar with Support UAVs up. It's just easier to pretend UAV is some noble killstreak. Not to mention most players who think they're rushers aren't good at it. The better you are the less campers can affect you and less likely are you are dependent on UAVs.

Finally someone agrees with me on the rushers part lol.

People think just cuz they rush, means they r better than everyone else, yet you would find these awesome rushers below 500 most of the time, makes me laugh.

Hell yeah UAV helps campers. But whats even worse is blast shield, its hard enough as is to actually kill someone with a nade, then you add blast shield then its impossible, on top of that you add trophy system.

Worst thing ive ever seen was a guy on dome camping in the warehouse with blast shield, trophy system, and IMS as his streak, IMS was blocking one way to the warehouse, he was hiding behind a glass-wood thingy inside with a trophy system between him and the front door, with an LMG with thermal on it. Now thats a camper.

Yeah. I've played a ton of COD the past 4+ years and most complaints are sour grapes or overblown. My point of view is this, running around doesn't make someone good, BEING GOOD MAKES YOU GOOD. I am an aggressive player and like to win and get kills. However, I do have a strategy. Being a rusher actually takes some skill and awareness. Most COD players generally run around pressing buttons, firing before entering rooms alerting the enemy. Or they attempt to use a shotgun on a huge map. Or they are quick scoping instead of trying to help team cap B flag. There should always be a strategy and depending on variables trying to call yourself a rusher by capping enemy flags and messing up spawns are signs of a bad rusher.

I just despise people running around with no purpose calling themselves rushers and allowing campers to flourish. The campers success is partially bases on whether you can kill him or not. When MILLIONS of people play a game expecting them all to run around with weak guns and no Assassin is sort of selfish. So I play in parties because I am aware majority of COD players these days aren't that experienced and camping nor rushing will help them.

Well Said. I wish there was a way to help people understand that rushing to camp a spawn point is camping as well. holding down a general area of the map with portable radars is also camping, just at a larger level.

I just like playing with smart, aggressive players. Rushing is great and preferred but a 10-30 rusher isnt better than a 30-10 camper. People think running around gets you brownie points when it doesn't. Especially people who rush with sniper rifles and LMGs. Of course I'm that guy rushing with rapid fire on my SMGs :carling:

People that move like a snail or hide in corners is my issue. But camping is also subjective. If I soundwhore or a guy kills teammate near me I will wait a few seconds to kill him. We as gamers are selfish at times. We were dominating splitscreen noobs in a 6v6 tdm and guy on my team complained about them camping.

I mean if a team is getting raped with Reapers, AC130s, get MOABed, etc don't you think that might make them less likely to run out lol.

Yeah, I personally really like the way they implemented Ghost into Black Ops 2. Especially how it works differently in various gametypes as well.
