(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});Once again, Treyarch’s Black Ops 2 will feature the fan-favourite Zombies mode. Customization will be available this time around, allowing players to fine-tune the options to their liking. It opens up some interesting opportunities, which tweaked to the right settings, will create a Zombie experience like no other.
If, like me, you find the opening rounds in Black Ops’ Zombies to be tedious and repetitive and wish to skip right ahead to the action, Treyarch has the solution. Players will be able to select starting round, as opposed to starting at round 1, saving time normally spent earning points against the easiest waves of the undead.
Should you opt for the later start, you will be met with a greater challenge, facing more difficult zombies with the starting weapon you would receive at round 1. Opting for the easier start will net you sufficient points to progress easily.
Magic? I thought this was Zombies, not Harry Potter!
Perks and the Magic Box will play a major role in the success of players in the various Zombie modes. However, disabling magic will open up the vanilla experience, removing those ever-prominent aids which can make or break a team in sticky situations. This option is perfect for the player looking to experience ‘pure’ Zombie killing, or a fun challenge.
Finally, I can make this harder…
If you have ever found yourself wishing that killing zombies was even more troublesome, increasing the difficulty will present a new challenge for those who are just too good. More hectic moments ensured, try starting at a later round on the toughest difficulty! If, however, you wish to take things a little slower, that’s okay, too.
Headshots Only
Are you feeling accurate and want to test your aim? Or perhaps you are looking for a good laugh with some mates? Either way, you will now have the option to challenge yourself in a battle where Zombies will only receive damage to the head. Add a late start and the toughest difficulty, and you have created yourself a true fight for life.
The new options to tweak the Zombies experience are definitely a positive, and will diversify the mode away from the standard gameplay. Has the Black Ops Zombies mode captured your interest as much as multiplayer?
Black Ops 2 is set for release November 13 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. Stay tuned for updates as we inch closer to the global release!

Starting round is very useful,I always hated rounds 1-5 there the slowest
Yes, I feel the same way about the early rounds. I will be a challenge starting later though, because you miss out on the easy points you can earn in the starting rounds :p
The following user thanked Storm for this useful post:
I'm wondering about the leaderboard feature for zombies now, will someone be able to start at round 50 and survive one round which would make there highest round 51 or will it only count rounds played?
I doubt that, I'd say if you change setting like that it doesn't count. I doubt they would make it that easy
