No but seriously it might be your router, try rebooting it, turn off, wait 10 secs, turn on. Same for your ps3 if you havent turned it off yet.

I've got the same thing go to Activision assist on face book tell them half the people who got the game can't get on plus does it frezz your ps3

If i am signed in and load the Game From XML my ps3 will frezz but if i sign out it does not frezz

Thats the problem with rushed releases, you should expect some bugs and full servers...

I know the Xbox side of things is just fine, but from what I hear and can gather, the PS3 side of things is having trouble getting their severs going for players.

Just sit tight and keep trying.
