I am just wondering if the Black ops 2 servers is down for you? Because it is for me, but 4 of my friends is playing online perfectly fine, I want to know why this happens.
When I connect to servers, and find a game it kicks me back to xmb, but this didn't happen to any of my friends that has bo2. So I called treyarch/activision support number, and it was some bot of some sort, and it just told me to try quit bo2 and go in again, so I did that a couple of times, but no luck. So I called gamestop, even though I knew they can't do anything, but they told me it crashed because too many went on at the same time. But I really can't understand why all my friends can get online perfectly fine /facepalm It's really frustrating, but there's nothing I can do.
I tried to reset my router a couple of times, but no luck. I actually got 2 routers at home, so I tried to change router and shit, but nope, no luck.
I live in Norway if that matters, near the capital "Oslo". I just want to know how long approximately it will take to get the servers up working for us all.
I have played a backup once, but I never actually got banned I believe, it just said "Servers unavailable" all day long, so I just played some offline. It shouldn't matter though, as I played backup on my 3.55, and I tried on both of my 4.31 ofw ps3's, but still gives me "Servers is currently unavailable" error. I have tried everything, I tried to connect to servers via a proxy, without. Everything I could think of.
I saw a recent thread like this, but this is more detailed to please do not close unless my thread gets properly properly.

no im perfectally able to play online. been playing all morning but the servers keep disconnecting me so i know they work but they cant handle the payload.

That's really sad. They should give us the features they have included in the game, it's against the law to not do :fa: But thanks for the help anyway.

haha, the servers are fine for me? :p. How unfortunate, hope it gets resolved soon for you ^^.

Wtf? What bles/blus u are? :fa: I've heard lots of peoples having issues with servers, so it's not only me atleast.

Hello, 1st of all anyone who has modded BLACK OPS 1 and or ever has been banned from BLACK OPS 1 will not be able to play FROM THE CONSOLE THAT YOU EITHER MODDED FROM OR GOT BANNED FROM, if you try to play black ops 2 on that same console you will be banned(AL ACCOUNTS ON THAT PS3 CONSOLE), so ONLY Solution is to buy new playstation 3, and CREATE COMPLETELY NEW ACCOUNT, AND NEVER TRY TO LOG INTO BLACK OPS 2 USING ANY ACCOUNTS YOU CREATED ON THE PLAYSTATION THAT GOT BANNED FROM BLACK OPS 1, THIS IS A FACT, I TESTED THIS AND ALL IS OK, ITS NOT YOUR DISC ITS YOUR CONSOLE. THE BAN CARRIES ON TO BLACK OPS 2, SO STOP CRYING TO BUY NEW PS3,

- ON THE CONSOLE YOU GOT BANNED FROM BLACK OPS 1 OR HAVE EVER MODDED THAT GAME WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PLAY BLACK OPS 2 ON THAT CONSOLE, YOU GAME WILL FREEZE AND SIGN YOU OUT OF THE SERVER NETWORK.

- RESTORING YOUR CONSOLE WILL NOT FIX THE PROBLEM, ONLY WAY IS TO BUY NEW PS3

- ON THE NEW PS3 DO NOT TRY TO LOG INTO BLACK OPS 2 USING ANY ACCOUNTS YOU CREATED ON YOUR BANNED CONSOLE ( ONLY NEW )

YES THIS DOES SUCK, AND TO BLACK OPS CONSOLE BAN YOU ALL LIKE THIS IS REALLY STUPID BUT ITS BEEN DONE. YOU CAN STILL PLAY OTHER GAMES ON YOUR 4.30, 4.31 OFW BUT NOT BLACK OPS 2.



Even if you have never been banned on black ops 1 but had modded it in any way shape or form you will not play black ops 2 on your ps3, i have already confirmed this with 30 other modders from, russia, usa and uk.
