In my opinion I think it's a ban, it could not be could just be a server error, but then why couldn't I get online even round my friends house? If it's not a ban then great there will probably be a game update soon to fix this or they just need to sort they dog shit server out.
It says the server levels are at Defcon 4

Let's just hope for the best and hope they find a solution why some PSN user's can not access Black Ops 2 Multiplayer.

i went online with 4.30 ofw and i got the error, i had a regular midnight release hardened edition copy and never played an illegal copy or anything

Well. I have exact same problem.
On my new slim PS3 i cant connect to servers on any account.
Tried it on my sons PS3 still same. Tried his account on his PS3 and hes fine.
Spoke to activision support yesterday and the guy i spoke to said he knew exactly what i was talking about as he has been dealing with the one issue all day.
He said he had the same problem himself and couldn't play online on his main account.
They are aware of it, and they are trying to fix it. It seems to affect random players and PS3's.
The guy seemed. Legiti and knew was he was talking about,.
Like myself, i have never modded my slim or my new account, i can't connect.
Using a retail disc and never played back ups or anything.
I suppose we have to wait and see. On the meantime, ill have to play on my other phat PS3 with another user name till they sort it out.
On the plus side, i will know all the maps and little tricks when i eventually am able to play on my main account.

mine was working fine till last night around 3 AM i tried to play a game it came up this error message " An error occurred while trying to find a session, please try again." when i search for a game every other mode works online for me like zombies and league play. is this the server error people are talking about or is this a different problem.
