For me, when I start the game and I am signed in it freezes and I have to restart my PS3. If I get past the loading screen, and then sign in...it will tell me that the Black Ops 2 server is unavailable. I got the game at the midnight release and still havent gone online yet. Any people with the same problem or a fix??

I myself do have the same problem unfortunately, there were temporary fixes out like creating a new psn account altogether and it would work for a good couple of hours and then when you turned your console back on, you would have gotten the same server error, this is happening to me and i really understand your frustration. Treyarch are currently making a patch that will fix these errors and i hoe to god that it will fix the server error that you and i have, I am not sure how long the patch will take for it to be released but I have been given estimates of a few days. i dont think the new patch will fix this problem cos treyarch dont know whats causing the server issues with signing in.

Most people are having freezing issues or can't get online a fix is coming for most well known issues within the coming hours today.
If you are still having the issue after the hotfix let me know i reopen this thread.
