(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Turns out its something to do with the PSN's Linked into your PS3

Heres my scenario

PS3 (My Ps3)
Account Linked - Dark-Weller
Everytime I boot up black ops signed in I crash out at the 1st loading screen. If I sign in then I get the Server is Unavailable
Connectivity A,-,-,-,E,-,-,-,-,-,-,-

So I decided to investigate

PS3 Number 2 (Dads PS3)
Account Linked - NissanBubba
Installed the patch works fine and doesnt crash at all
Connected fine
Connectivity A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H,I,J,K

Hmmm Something strange here, These PS3's used the same connection so its NOTHING to do with MY internet but something to do with the PS3's/PSN's

Experiment on PS3 Number 2 (Dads PS3)
Created New User , Linked my account Dark-Weller
Everytime I boot up black ops signed in I crash out at the 1st loading screen. If I sign in then I get the Server is Unavailable
Connectivity A,-,-,-,E,-,-,-,-,-,-,-

This shows that its not the PS3's at fault but more something at fault with the PSN/SEN ID's themselves
To back this up I did one more thing

Experiment Number 2 PS3 Number 1 (MY PS3)
Created New User, Linked Account NissanBubba
Worked Fine
Connectivity A-B-C-D-E-F-G-H-I-J-K

So Activision stop telling us to contact our ISP's or Open Ports, Restart Routers etc
This is pissing me off now due to the fact I've finished your shitty campaign on Veteran mode and now the game is collecting dust.
If Activision want to get in contact with me then they can do so, Ill even make a video for them of me doing all of this with my HDPVR

Thanks

It's weird. Well at least we know it isn't the game or console, it's the net.

Do a barrel roll!
You are correct the error is linked to the psn account, when you get this error, and/if you're a memeber of cod/elite, you will notice that the data does not sync. I had this problem for most of tuesday, but late tuesday evening i spammed vonderhard's tweeter account threatening him with a class action suit...strange thing is, a little after midnight the same night, i turned it on and everything was A OK except for the recurring freezes, but thankfully the 1.03 patch seems to have resolved the bullshit. I had created 3 accounts and had ranked them up to about 23-28 but they all froze. For now and since then all seems to be fine. The following morning (wednesday) i received an Email from Activision with their apologies..THEY CAN GO TO HELL....RAGE ON!

If its linked to the psn account then surely i would be able to log into a fresh account fine, or any of my old accounts, and none of these solutions work for me

Haxor!
I created a new account via playstations website and after playing online for a day it stopped me connecting to the servers again. personally i think it has something to do with the your ping time to the servers if its below a certain amount you get the error..fuck knows!?

I think it's a little more complicated than that. I think Treyarch have used some form of a combination block.

This is because when I got a friend to create me an account on his ps3, it worked fine. But when I used it, it didn't work. I then got him to try that account on his ps3 again and it didn't work on his ps3 either from that point onwards.

Therefore, they must be making some form of association with your IP Address and then banning it somehow.

It's the only thing that makes sense given the above scenario.
