Slow start, but by the Odysseus mission it hooked me in, as if it were like a movie. It has definitely made the transition from a shooter to an action-adventure shooter and the game honestly took a huge dump on Black Ops 1.

Haven't played it yet, but I'm hoping it's gonna be good. Definitely a lot of mixed reviews on this one.

Something I noticed is that I have never played the MW3 campaign yet. I got that game on release day and have yet to even start it lol. Probably never gonna either.

To be honest, in terms of campaigns throughout the shooter gaming genre it sucked. Call of Duty: World at War still holds the top spot in my opinion, with Ghost Recon: Future Soldier in second.. This game doesn't come close to being in my top ten, but then again, in terms of Call of Duty it is 5th. I personally enjoyed W@W, BLOPS1, MW2 and MW3 more than this, but that's just me.

Call of duty 4 campaign for many is the gold standard but it not that great.
It may be the best of any shooter campaign made in that day, but still does not try anything new. Black ops 2 tries alot of new things the result is moving the genre forward.
Does have some faults like the stealth missions feel forced and sort of out of place. Another thing is the strike missions AI is at best worthless.
Black ops 2 knows that call of duty is a silly game so gives you alot of silly stuff to play with. At the same time keeps you doing the action over the game playing out set pieces.
Black ops 1 was treyarch playing around with story elements in this game they got it down to a art along with the rest.

By far the best call of duty campaign we had and by far the best shooter campaign I played in years.

Future is not black treyarch it very bright.
