Post: AN-94 review (19 level sample size)

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Im posting a review of the An-94,my sample size is 19 levels as you cant review any weapon with less than 100 kills.

Backround on useage:
I prestieged for the 4th time a few days ago and until I reached the FAL i decided to perm unlock this gun as it was the last ar rifle you get and when I tried it out In combat training it seemed pretty good(vs veteran dumbies)I used this gun straight up from level 4 to level 23 never switching to any other weapon.I tested the followed attachments:Foregrip+reflex Targetfinder+Silencer Quickdraw+reflex Fast mags+reflex Lasersight+targetfinder.I always used ghost with this gun and once I unlocked the Silence I had that on all the time

Review:
Overall this gun is not very good at all.I lost a good amount of gun battles more than usual and way more if I had my normal gun.I would normally seperate this into PRos Vs Cons but I cant find many if any pros of this gun.The biggest problem I noticed is the speed you run out of bullets due to it firing your first 2 bullets faster than the rest(this repeats every so often)And the reload time.

Damage wise this gun seems to be hit in miss sometimes I would drop people almost instantly even shotgun scrubs.(This I chalk up to the 2 bullet increase in speed but that did not happen alot). Most often thou it would take alot of bullets compared to other guns in the game. This weapon has farely good bullet penatration and I never had much problems with that.

As I said early you run thru alot of ammo with this gun and the recoil is very bad even with the grip which I used most of the time.So with out scavanger(which luckly was my second perm unlock)you will be short on ammo very soon. The reload speed is pretty long to and alot of the time I would run out of ammo in the middle of aiming at someone at mid range and be screwed.

Closing
I tried to keep a unbias view of this gun as I hate it as of now and overall I would say this gun is not worth perm unlocking.Everyone is different with weapons and I did go one or two good games where I had alot of kills compared to deaths(4-5:1 ratio)but compared to other weapons I used that was very rare.If you think of perm unlocking I suggest you use for 100 kills so you get a ruff ideal.Any other input on this gun is welcomed but makesure if your going to dispute this gun you dont use it for 2 games and think its awsome.Intially thats what I thought when I used the gun for the first time but after suffering 19 levels with it its not worth it.For this being a level 55 weapon it does not live up to its prestiege

Lol you aren't using the AN-94 correctly if you thought it sucked. I use silencer, select fire, and the adjustable stock and I've got over 700 kills using it with a 3.2 something kill death ratio. The select fire makes it lose all of its recoil.

not wih select on burst with a modded controller. It has less recoil and shoots faster the when its on full auto.

Even without a modded controller you can make the AN-94 shoot faster on burst than full auto.

You're using this gun wrong if you think it's horrible,

It's my favorite weapon in the game, it reminds me of the AR in COD4 that doesn't have any attachments for it.

The recoil of the AN-94 actually helps me ALOT. I've been getting so much headshots... I started using this gun at Lvl 1 Pres 2 because one of my friends told me this gun is amazing, I'm level 19 right now with the Ghostex Camo...

and not too mention the sound of this gun gives me a raging boner.

The gun definitely does not have ammo issues, the gun has 30 rounds and in burst fire it shoots 2 rounds and usually takes 2-3 bursts to kill. That's 15 bursts worth of ammo.

Cake is a lie
AN94 is a decent AR with or without select fire. Damage is good, biggest issue is fire rate up against SMGs so gotta make your shots count.

I don't see any reason to use the AN-94 over my baby, the M8A1. I do see that rapidly pressing the fire button helps the AN94 because it'll shoot 2 bullets for each click and you won't need to waste a slot on select fire.
