(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I run tournaments and one of the games we have been doing is COD, and have run Black Ops 1, and MW3 tournaments before doing BO2. We have 8 xbox's connected through an ethernet switch, each with their own separate monitor. Getting all of the 360's to connect without freezing is pretty much impossible for us.

What occurs is that 5 of the Xbox's will join the host's lobby fairly consistently, giving them the option to customize classes and such before the match begins. The 7th and 8th xbox will either completely freeze/crash when trying to join the lobby, or go back to the multiplayer menu with a message saying unable to join.

When the host starts the match one of the 2 remaining xbox's will be able to join the match(which ever one joins first), but will not have the ability to edit custom classes as the match is started. The one left over xbox will continue to freeze or give the same message if an attempt is made to join.

I should also mention that the xbox's in the lobby/game would experience intermittent freezing. One to two of the 360's would completely freeze for about 5-10 seconds, while the other xbox's continued as normal. This problem would occur randomly, and even sometimes happened to the host xbox, yet none of the others would be affected by one freezing.

I made MANY attempts to fix this problem including, switching hosts, replacing ethernet cables/ moving their positions around on the ethernet switch, replacing xbox's with back ups, replacing power/ AV chords, and resetting the entire system. I have never experienced this problem on any other COD game, and leads me to believe that there is something wrong with the system link in the game itself.

ALL the xbox's had the same update/patch (the latest one) as they were updated at the same time.

Does anyone know any work arounds for this issue, or any help? I hope I made my problems clear in this thread. Please feel free to ask anything if you need more info, as I really need a solution to this problem so that I can keep running BO2 tournaments.

I think it could just be the game, I have 1 ps3 and I even get the same problem. But maybe just try cleaning your Xbox and your monitors.

Everything is kept in good condition, and we tried multiple of everything, replacing the xbox's with new/different ones, so I have attributed it to the game, but I'm am still wondering if there are any work arounds, or else I will have to get internet to our location and buy xbox live for all of our 360s, which is an expense I wasn't planning on and shouldn't have come across in the first place if the game was working correctly.
