(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hi folks, I know it's probably just in my head, however a friend of mine feels the same so I decided to ask.

When I started playing this game, I picked the shotgun (the first one, pump action, can't remember the name) because I always used shotgun in the past cod games.
I was kinda succesful for a while, but after say 20-30 matches (I always use the same weapon, in every map) I began to have crappy matches and my k/d ratio went downhill, so I decided to switch weapon.
So I used the Mp7, same deal, after x matches I began to struggle a lot, so I switched to the Vector, then another one (the last one).

After the SMGs I switched to an LMG and again, the first few matches went surprisingly well and then again I only had crap matches.

Now my latest favourite is the semi-auto pistol, the B23R.. I got all camos and all, but honestly while in the beginning it used to rape, even without attachments and it was a BEAST with long barrel or dual wielded, now I rarely have those nice 3:1 or better matches.

It's always the same, it feels like I can no longer get kills with the same weapon after a while, I'll get lots of damage markers but a lot less kills.
That obviously doesn't apply to sniper rifles.

Is it just me or does anybody else feel the same? My friend had the same happen to him with the MP7 (his KD went from 4:1 to 2.55:1 during the first prestige) and the B23R.

I've noticed this as well. I'd be using the PDW and I've gone 90+ kills with it. Now when I use it and someone else will be on the enemy team, they seem to kill me a lot faster. Just little things like that and it also makes me rage a little bit.

Your mother!
This game just makes you suck. On EVERY CoD except for BOps 2, I have had a k/d above 1.5. On this 1, I have like a 1.1. It's ridiculous.

This happens to me also glad I'm not the only one. I would be doing good with the PDW-57 getting 30+ kills then few games later its inconsistent and I have to constantly switch my classes. I'm currently using the Scorpion Evo that kills really fast but sometimes its not as good which is down to the lag compensation.

SAME HERE! I was holding a 1.66 KDR, EVERY SINGLE GAME i'd have a good ratio like 30-5 then it all just plummeted. I don't remember the last time i've went positive in a match..

I think it has to do with as much as you play. The longer you play the worst you start doing. Like notice if you don't play for like 2 days when you come back you somehow do good? I hope that's not just me. :|

Cake is a lie
It's partially you and partially the game itself. I have maintained a 2.08 kdr for the longest time and I have plenty of mediocre 30-15 type games or bad games of 25-20 but every five or so games I'll get the 40-5 or 60+ type games. So I will say the biggest factors are lag, host, and competition.

If you're playing really bad players lag only hurts you a little bit since bad players are easier to flank, have slower reaction time and use bad guns with bad attatchments ie ACOG scopes on SMGs. Mediocre to decent players is where bad lag is easier to notice since those players generally spray and pray so even if you get the first shots off if they spray enough they'll get the jump on you eventually.

When you get a lobby with minimal lag you'll see just how good you can be and/or bad others are. Also doesn't help that Target Finders are easily as noobiest thing in the entire game so you have to watch out for those guys usually with an LMG spraying out a window.

Lastly use the weapons the way they are designed. Don't use an LMG the same way you use MP7 or shotgun. Not saying you should be camping but you definitely shouldn't be rushing with an LMG. You should be aggressive sure but getting into chokepoints and defending objectives. As well as using the extra bullet penetration to shoot people out of camp spots and buildings. Just realize when the game is laggy and adjust accordingly. When the game isn't laggy I usually don't run with silencers but if there is even minimal lag I play smarter and use flanking routes and put on Dexterity to compensate.
