Have you had any bad experience with any of those? Which should I get and why?

Thanks in advance Smile

I want to be able to use it for music and gaming, but for gaming I really want to hear footsteps without problems.

So I have the 1st Edition of the Sony Headset and I like them. The only problem since BO2 came out, is the sound goes out or has a flickering sound through the whole game. I have to restart my PS3 to get it rid of the sound. This happened to me twice since BO2 has been released. And remember these are the 1st Edition Sony Headset. These PULSE headset are NEW and I would go with those ones because all I hear is how Turtle Beach headset don't last and break on you. As for Astro's they are no longer around...Skullcandy bought them out. So that's another option is Skullcandy which has a 40% off sale on their headsets, which include GAMING headset. I hope this helps and HAPPY GAMING!!!

You should consider the overall quality of both those headsets and many more. Not just for CoSad AwesomeBO2 footsteps, but for the general use of a headset.. Sound.

Y'all already know that every headset is processed Surround Sound [Not legitimate 5.1 or 7.1]. So in the end... A stereo and/or a Surround Sound headset should sound the same. Only difference that i can come up with is the options you gain with buying a Turtle Beach PX5, Astros A40/A50, or Trittons. Like bass, presets, ...etc.

In the end.. You can do whatever the fuck you wanna do!

Well, it is really hard to hear footsteps in BO2. I have had Trittion ax720's since BO1 and it is just getting harder and harder to hear footsteps. But personally I wouldn't get a wireless headset. My friend has the PX5 and they die on him constantly. But if you are set on those two headsets, I would get the PX5. I just prefer Turtle Beach over the Sony one.
Yea i agree with him id never buy a wireless headset i had one in the past and it dies all the time and im always charging it and it gets annoying real quick
