I think they are planning a ban wave because of how long they are taking to patch the glitch. The most that will happen is a reset and possibly a 48 hour temp ban. As for the people who are saying they won't ban anyone because so many people did it. Yeah right, they had no problem console banning everyone who did the EBOOT hack so I am pretty sure they have no problem resetting everyone (no matter the amount) who did the prestige duplication glitch.

Most likely they won't console ban but there is a chance they will give a ban/stat reset.

when you do something like this there is always a chance to get banned

You can only be permanently banned by modification or by running a pirated copy of the game.

Nothing to be worried about in terms of a console ban, just your account will be temp. banned and it will be reset to level 1, no prestige.

you never know... but they probably won't

It's the same thing as the prestige token glitch from mw3 I think. Some people will get away with and some people won't I guess.
