#1: DO NOT DO THE PRESTIGE GLITCH. I did that on a couple of my accounts for fun, but keep a legit one so i have the satisfaction of completing the game as a whole. When you do the prestige glitch, it defeats the purpose of the game, and it becomes annoying when everything is done for you. Trust me, ranking up legit makes the game much better. Gives you opportunities to gain skills, and have time for the whole year it's made for until a new game comes out.

#2: Always play at your own skill level. It's understandable that a friend of yours may be 8th prestige and you only level 1, and he wants to play demolition, but play Combat Training by yourself for a while. It can really help you take in the feeling of the game.

#3 Honestly, I would say play the objective, but when it comes down to it, you need to do both (play objective and kill whore). May seem hard, but going 40-10 and capturing 13 flags will do you more than going 10-25 and 13 captures.

#4 And the final tip is to always stay comfortable and relax while you play. Maybe grab a Monster and some snacks and have your IPod playing. Nothing is worse than screaming at the top of your lungs at a "tryhard" while trying to have fun.

These are just some simple tips to help you noobs out on the new game.

Thanks for reading and Happy Holidays!~

#3 Just like all of the other games, play the game the way it was meant to be played. Don't play Domination for kills, play the objective. It ranks you up a lot faster than getting kills only.

you actually rank up faster kill whoring ^_^, but i suppose a new player won't be getting too many kills

Exactly. Black Ops 2 is about objective killwhoring. Those guys that go 12-30 in the name of playing objectives don't help the team a third as much as the killwhore taking enemies out in their spawn. It goes objective killwhores > killwhores > objective players.

Black Ops 2 takes aggressive play to win. A team full of slayers will win 90% times against sole objective players. But like you said they wouldn't be getting many anyway.

playing the objective is an awful tip to give a christmas noob actually, you don't get better at the game by standing on flags :|

Boot camp and maybe playing with some friends would be a great way to get better early on.

Black Ops 2 favors veterans so honestly unless you were decent at previous COD games then a Xmas noob is screwed really.

That's actually a good point. Ignoring objectives when they are needed is bad but so is just letting the enemy get defend medals lol. I think people think being objective means just going for objectives even if you're not successful or smart at doing so. Same way the guys that go 8-17 think they are a rusher just because the run around.
