Anyway latest LAG news. There IS artificial LAG on most internet services or buffering at least, but there is something that you can do to improve your connection and it just takes a phonecall to your ISP.

Call them and ask to be placed on a "Gaming profile" my ISP Sky (UK) have just placed me on one called "8ms max delay" it does not cost anything extra and it took them like 5 minutes.

The results are fabulous for me and I would go as far as saying everything else I have said or tried has not helped as much as this. I am no longer lagging at the start of a match and hit detection is way better. I even got a 1mg speed increase by being on this profile. It is AMAZING.

If you call and the customer service person is dumb and doesn't understand you just keep calling, all ISP's can do it just not all CS agents know about it.

Yeah open nat means you can communicate with all players which makes you a good host. Moderate means you can only communicate with certain players meaning your a bad host so you wont be picked. I hate being host you need badass internet to make host work for you not only that but a gaming router too.A

can you guys stop using the word "ping" it doesnt mean shit in relation to what you are talking about Ping is simply the amount of milliseconds it takes to get from POINT A to POINT B your ping will vary from person to person just because you ping 8ms to a server ~50mi from you doesnt mean thats "YOUR PING" its your ping to that specific server not to everyone on CoD so people who say i have a low ping sure u do if ur 'pinging' a server near u but if you're pinging a server 200+ miles from you its going to be diff. PLEASE know what you're talking about before you try and start throwing around your speedtest.net results.

I always get 4 bar connections in every game I join unless my brother is downloading something on the computer which is rarely because he understands how it feels like to be lagged in COD. The only problem I have is that I suffer constant 1-2 second freezing in-game after spawning and even in combat. It pisses me off because I've been killed about 6 times just by having a small freeze.

I'm pretty sure it's their servers, right?

I know how you feel it happen a lot to me too when I'm not host and no its not their servers its the bad coded "lag comp" anyway I'm on virgin 60d/3u gonna give them a call thanks for the tip.

Ah, okay. Thanks for the help. It's getting better though, haven't experienced any freezing issues after I installed the texture packs.
