Well to be honest there was no need to Groan my post. At the end of the day I was only being honest from my personal experience.

Had this a few times mate, i never select the option on my ps3 to be honest, i just hit circle and mine is fine. I think it would be more trouble doing the process often to be honest.

I thought it was just me. The same thing happens during zombies and my ps3 is only 3 months old. The worst part is the problem has been pushed to other games such as once when I play mw2 a few days ago but downloaded games on my hdd work perfectly fine... Maybe the bo2 messes up the blue ray drive?

yup happened to me so i eventually sold it on ebay as non-working
it would read discs sometimes only then freeze at end of a game

sadly is not only you or your ps3.
its the game black ops 2 the game was never finished. patches wont help but what i can say has work for me is:
-delete all patched and re download them again. just make sure u dont delete your game save
