(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So i was here thinking..... Bc i do that sometimes/ SOMETIMES!! And well quite frankly all these add ons is going to start getting crazy. I mean activision is very smart in this but BUT. Will it make or break the COD series? Imo adding maps every month or so is good to keep people buying and playing. Honestly that is the only way i can stay interested in any COD for more then a month. BUT. NOW im offered more camo. Create a class slots...And so on for money. ehhhhh. Idk. Bacon camo!? COD HAS GONE MAINSTREAM! Next ill be able to buy my character and be kayne west or something. Lol. Remember i said it first ( @ royalties) seriously. Next its going to be guns/ scorestreaks/ equipment. Im going to have to buy buy BUY in order to keep up with a balanced gameplay. However, i am ok with the non game altering additions such as player outfits to an extent. I dont wanna see mr. T running aroung with a shotty. WELLL MAYBE lol. Just wondering other ppls thoughts!? Id really like to see it venture back to mw2 pretty basic straight forward war/ mp gameplay. And when you give me a map pack dlc give us all another kill streak, camo, gun, thing that keeps gameplay fair and exciting. Not bacon camo at least not for me. Lmk what you think. Like to see? Like removed. Im really interested in QS lobbys added and a radar always on lobby.....

People seem to think you HAVE to buy them, which is where the mistakes start. You don't have to buy any of these, its for people who just want something new.
The micro items they added don't affect gameplay or game balance, and I don't think they would offer you to pay for perks, scorestreaks etc for that reason.

Totally agree, although having the extra shit is nice, I can see it getting out of hand. I think they could introduce a marketplace type of setup, where you could spend 'codPoints' instead of real money on the majority of items, but have premium items which cost actual dolla' bills.
No need for them to be greedy, already making billions!

We FINALLY get something OTHER than Maps as DLC, which EVERYONE, yes EVERYONE has been bitching for since COD4, and half the people that were doing the bitching for the exact things we wanted, now want to find issues with it?

My god are you people never happy?

I love the micro-transactions. I've bought half of them. I wish all 100 classes could be used in game, and not just 10 at a time, but whatever. I aint complaining.

The camos, and callsigns are top notch. I hope they release more, and more gun DLC honestly. Activision is stupid for not doing this sooner when Battlefield started it. Saying it wasn't possible, bull. It was and always has been, they were just too lazy to do it.

Finally something the community bitched for that I actually like was placed into the game.

theyre money grabbers, you dont have to buy it but if you do it just makes you an easy target for the next lot of crap they bring out.

they know that the franchise is slowly dying so they need new ways to keep their income up, i dont blame them half the call of duty players are suckers for stuff like this. they more people buy the more things will have a price on it and more then likely the price will get higher as they know you'll buy it.

I dont mind useless add ons like callsigns bc i will never buy things like that or camo bacon. Its a smart pr move for sure. The only thing that concerns me is how mainstream it will become. I mean next ill have a big faced gold watch. Fitted hat. Diamond fromts on my teeth. Im just a realist. This game was based on real battle type gameplay. Not nike shoes and baggy pants. Im all for things that better a game in realness. Gameplay and equality. I just dont wanna see this go crazy out of control. I like getting new guns or perks that kinda thing. But on that as well i dont wanna see hundreds of guns i gotta buy. Stuff like that. Lets keep it simple. And one last thing what about the kid that doesnt have much money the one who was lucky enough to get a game. A family of poverty. His experience should be equal to everyone else. Id rather see the earn unlocks or cod points as u play.

So you're saying the current microtransactions are ok but you're paranoid that the future we see add on perks and killstreaks? So this is hypothetical issue you take?

I'd say obviously we don't have to pay and it's always easy to talk about how the big bad company is money hungry. Only issues I have with THE CURRENT microtransactions is that I wish it was something a little better like Silver or Platinum camo. My other issue is that Season Pass members have to pay. Although I legit don't think it's a big deal. Also I actually would like a weapon through microtransaction since gameplay balancing is somewhat a cliche argument to make usually.

Last year's clutsterfuck of four different DLC pack tiers is so much more egregious. I also don't buy into COD dying either. BO2 sold less than past few CODs but with next gen coming they'll still make money. COD's biggest critics are the same people buying every year and think not buying Season Passes and think not going to max prestige is somehow sticking it to Activision

I am somewhat contradicting myself..... I honestly think paying for add on content like camo/ callsigns/ and such is money hungry and pointless. However its not affecting my gameplay or changing the playing field in anyway so i cant complain too much bc someone like me will just not buy into it. Create a class slots i like bc i can always use another class setup. BUT. it takes away from actually playing and prestiging which kinda defeats the point of playing for purpose. Thats why i like the play to earn CODPOINT system. I feel when you dtart adding guns/ perks/ scorestreaks and such unless they are given to everyone the balance of the game will really be comprimised from begginer to tryhard. I do like additions for EVERYONE and earned not bought.

Well they haven't added perks and scorestreaks yet so let's cross the bridge when(IF) it happens. I'm also not sure what your interpretation of balance is. BO2 is really balanced honestly although the maps favor SMGs but even that is only because the COD community constantly complains and bitches about campers, Ghost, people not playing objectives and things of that nature. So the map design favors rushing, close quarters and Ghost is only rewarding you if you're on the move.

Outside of that I'm not sure what "balance" even means. Target Finder should be easy mode but most players that use that are absolutely terrible. They made this game with balance in mind so I doubt they'd mess that up. They even tried to balance things with skill based matchmaking and people hated the idea of playing someone on your level which is the definition of fair and/or balance.

If you don't like the idea of nickle and diming people even if optional then that is fine. However, that doesn't inherently mean they are going to add MP40, new killstreaks and juggernaut perks for money.

What it is more likely to mean is more things like reticules, titles, emblems and camos. Them putting out microtransactions has nothing to do with gameplay "balancing."
