(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); More and more commentators move away from COD, fewer players on the actual game and this section is pretty dead when comparing to last year. Is the almighty Call of Duty series failing? I mean compared to previous years, the COD section would be one of the most active forums on here..

I for myself stopped playing COD a few months after BO2. It just isn't the same anymore... What's your thoughts? Smile

"Fewer players on the game" is something you cannot prove, therefore is an unreliable statement. Month aftr month it's the most played game on xbox, as proven by Major Nelson's blog, which can't be proven on ps3.

The reason for less activity in the black ops 2 section would be down to the hacking scene not being what it once was. Black ops 2 isn't as easily hacked as the others were this time during their release.

I'm still playing the game, occasionally go back on mw2 when I get fed up with it, but if you're playing in a full party, then the game is still fun to play in my opinion.

I think it's because it's the same old thing over and over again, there may be new maps / weapons etc but yeah it's got boring. It used to be fresh but now there's no excitement to it, you can't compete in the leaderboards by being legit anymore and reaching the top prestiges means nothing to nobody because of glitches and stuff. Although there are still a huge amount of people that play it, I agree that it's a dying game.

We need something new.

I quited with COD, 1 month ago. You should start playing Far cry 3 multiplayer. It's like Battlefield and Cod combined

When the game came out, the player count was constantly at 400K +++. Today when I went on there was 72K...

Thats expected and would be the same on any game, what I mean is you can't compare it to previous titles figures, therefore you can't tell if its better or worse than previous years.
