(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); This thread is simply my way of trying to figure out what sparked this new phenomenon on Black Ops 2...The game has been out eight or so months now and I imagine we all have some fatigue with the game and/or are tired of going full in or being, "tryhards" aka just playing to win and dominate and most importantly having fun...

I haven't played BO2 frequently since April of this year but when I do get on once or twice a week I see a HUGE number of trolls. Let me explain trolls to me are the opposite of tryhards. Guys who literally just come into Ground War aka TEAM BASED MATCHES and just dick around trying to Quick Scope, use pistols only, Assault shield, ballistic knife Onlyusemeblade wannabes and of course still a lot of those LMG with or without Target Finder noobs just spraying til bullets make contact with someone with 10% accuracy or less lol. These guys are happy with 5 kills probably and ignore their deaths as well as objectives unless it's stealing your tag in KC.

What's up with all the trolling though? I mean quick scopers and some of you other trolls aren't necessarily hard to stop but it makes playing in a party even more important. Who the hell wants to play in a Kill Confirm match where your team consists these knife only guys who are stealing all your tags(and immediately dying) or a Domination match where a guy is more concern with getting quick scope clips than helping you capture/defend a flag? Oh and of course we know your average quick scoper goes 10-25 at worst and 30-36 with zero flag caps at best.

I have begun using more Assault Rifles when I play now or just running Stealth, Escort and EMP as my scorestreaks as a way to spice up the game when I play...I just don't get why so many people have begun to just be THAT guy trying to quick scope or using pistols only getting totally owned...

Oh and I know some people can actually play well quick scoping or using pistols but come on let's be honest we know how terrible those guys usually are, just like how you know a splitscreen team is two wasted spots

People are all serious to start with, some stay that way and some get bored and start trolling. I remember a lot of trolls on CoD 4 doing all sorts of dumb stuff to make their team lose etc. It's sad yes, just take it as an added challenge to counteract them.

I mean if people want to have fun then sure if going 8-25 doing 360 scopes and costing your team victories is fun.

I just find it interesting that when "killwhores" ignore objectives and rack up kills in team based games they get such negative feedback yet guys can come in and literally do nothing as far as killwhoring or being objective in team based games and they seem to get a pass because they're having "fun".

Somehow dominating and getting Swarms and Dogs and Lodestars and VSATS isn't fun yet going negative and hurting your team is? A Killwhore is actually pretty valuable in a game like Black Ops 2 with things like VSATs and making the score streak system rewarding if you even remotely play objectives. These trolls actually serve no purpose but for themselves. Killwhores can indirectly help their team by ya know, KILLING THE ENEMY trying to get objectives whereas these trolls basically just make it easier for the enemy because 4 out of 5 times SMG or AR is going to beat their quick scoping, knifing, Assault Shielding, Pistoling, etc.

I understand the boredom with Black Ops 2 but I'm not going to cost my team victories because I'm "bored", I'd just play a different game. But hey, I'm also the guy who has 5-6 different classes I might use in a single game depending on what the enemy is doing, as opposed to the trolls I see who will have a KSG class even on a Domination game on a big map like Turbine or Downhill and won't switch classes if they do well or if they do terrible. But I suppose for whatever reason "terrible" is relative in the COD community.

It is because multiplayer is boring. I had to play league play after 3 months of the game just to get any enjoyment out of the game. After I got first in master last season, it got boring once more. Now I have been catching up on my movie watching.

Fair point. Playing league play is a good idea. I'm not disputing whether the game is boring or now. I mentioned only playing it maybe twice a week. Point is why ruin team based games and purposely be terrible hiding behind being "bored"

At launch there were plenty of people quickscoping and pistol only and they weren't bored with the game. Now it's just a ridiculous amount. I guess I'm saying when I am bored with the game I just play less. Hell when I get bored I will just play Gun Game or play private match FFA games. It's like if you got bored with league play then instead of doing something else you started just trolling in league play with the excuse of being, "bored". If you're bored do something else is my greater point lol.

Killwhores don't get a pass for having fun with the game so why should trolls get a pass?

For the past few months I've been what you consider a "troll" but in reality all i was doing was getting my specials diamond, working on titles and practicing quickscoping. realized that its probably better to be in combat training to practice quickscoping but its still fun to try against all real people. Trolls are people who intentionally do things to annoy other players (for the most part), pretty sure some of them may have been trolls but i think you're using the term too broadly.

Haha i dont mind these people too much The only thing i do mind is the low leveled noobs that run around the map with remingtons on the lowest sensivity and blast your gutted tryhard head off
