Precisely Soad, let me elaborate on your point some more though.
When you buy XBL Gold membership, that money (obviously) goes to MS. They generally earn about $1 Billion annually from these payments.
That is where the timed exclusives are coming from, ultimately your money.
Think it's worth it? I think not.

No point in a systems arguement because they both have pro's and cons, I have both so it doesn't bother me either way lol. BUT Xbox Live costs because quite simply the connection and overall speed is faster for most users, I have both so can fairly say it however both have pro's and cons as I've said and Xbox have more users so it's a simple and logical decision.
