No. It was full auto during the vietnam war. But apparently they were trigger happy so they wasted a ton of ammo. And because it was inaccurate I guess. But it was definately full auto. I went to war museums in vietnam and thats what they all said.

A not: We're not playing Counter Strike, in real life it's not called the AWP, it's the Artic Warfare Magnum.
Also, if the AWP is seriously in this game, I'm gonna hate it. The AWP is the most overpowered gun in Counter Strike and if it's back they better not have it that strong.
For those of you who've never played Counter Strike, if your max health is 100, the AWP does a max of 495 and a min of 90 (On the fingertips and toes) and hitting them anywhere on the body except fingertips and toes is a 1-shot kill. The only way it's balanced in CS is because it's one of the heaviest guns in the game.

Well AWP is shortened, because who wants to be like OMG i just got quad with the Artic Warfare Magnum -.- ; Better off saying OMG i just got a quad with the AWP =D

So you're that 1 guy that supports non one hit kill sniper rifles..? The other 50.000+ on the OpTic petition don't think so.

I think what he's trying to say is that it's a WAY overpowered gun. I support OHK for sniper rifles, but not if it's just a one hit ANYWHERE. There has to be balance and lets face it, if its not a center mass/neck/head shot it should be a one shot kill.
