In a nutshell this discription I gave you means that to be prestigious, you have reputation on your success. So basically the reason this was put into the game was to show your "prestige" by starting the game over again. This was not added to make you mad when you loose all of your guns.

Ok now prestiging in black ops. Many people are suggesting rewards for taking a step back and loosing all weapons. If something like this was added to black ops it surely couldnt be something that gave the player an advantage such as a new weapon or perk. If this is done i believe it may add some new options such as more player customization features, or extra camos. Now lets suppose this feature was added. Now everytime you prestige you get a fancy new gun camo, or say a nice new helmet for your soldier. So now that I have put all that hard work in reaching my prestige, I make other players who have not envious. So this results in these other jealous players to get on their computers and google..."Black Ops Prestige Hack."
This is the main flaw I see in adding prestige rewards. If other players see that you can unlock fancy new clothing or shiny new gun camo, then why wouldnt they want to unlock it all in one go?
We all know prestige hacking was a problem in MW2, and wether you like it or not, you know it was a problem. Now that rewards are thrown into the mix, every lobby will be filled with tenth prestigers.

they will probally just have a badge that your guy can wear on his jacket or somthing when you prestige

I hope there is no prestige hack at all, I know most of the people here did the Prestige Hack but I really found this annoying, every time I'm in a match I get someone calling me a hacker...

I think its a great idea, and there has to be something more than just a shitty little emblem for prestiging, but regardless how trivial it is, people will boost/hack to get it faster than others.

I just hope there aren't any prestige hacks.. because I wanted to get legit on MW2 but then prestige hack came so I was like **** it and I just made a new account and leveled that upto level 70 no prestige. it's the only level that can't be hacked.. (only boosted) because if you do prestige hack you HAVE to prestige to make it stay.

I just did 10th on another account that I made incase it ever got fixed permanently which isn't so I don't use it. And the account I do legit prestige on I will start using again in black ops. (If there's no prestige hack)

With the Addition of Theater Mode and only 5 prestige's. I honestly don't think Prestige hacking is going to be a problem in Black Ops. But what I think will happen is all the people who think they are MW2 Gods are going to fall of their throwns. Especially since Black Ops Killstreaks don't build to your next Killstreak. I'm MW2 you really only have to be good enough to get 7 kills in a row to get a pretty good k/d ratio. But since k/s dont build in Black Ops getting the higher k/s either means people will learn to play better. Or people will start camping a hell of a lot more.

not like cod4 or mw2
cod4 had nothing
mw2 had extra classes + title & emblem

black ops should have something you WANNA prestige for you know ?

Each prestige should be rewarded by something unique maybe a selection of prestige badges say a selection of three badges per prestige, a face paint which you can only aquire by being at a certain prestige and some CP each time you prestige to help you along the way.
As it stands prestiging in MW2 COD4 W@W didn't offer anything really worth going all the way for other than more class slots and titles which isn't much at all.It would be nice to be rewarded everytime you prestige
