In a nutshell this discription I gave you means that to be prestigious, you have reputation on your success. So basically the reason this was put into the game was to show your "prestige" by starting the game over again. This was not added to make you mad when you loose all of your guns.

Ok now prestiging in black ops. Many people are suggesting rewards for taking a step back and loosing all weapons. If something like this was added to black ops it surely couldnt be something that gave the player an advantage such as a new weapon or perk. If this is done i believe it may add some new options such as more player customization features, or extra camos. Now lets suppose this feature was added. Now everytime you prestige you get a fancy new gun camo, or say a nice new helmet for your soldier. So now that I have put all that hard work in reaching my prestige, I make other players who have not envious. So this results in these other jealous players to get on their computers and google..."Black Ops Prestige Hack."
This is the main flaw I see in adding prestige rewards. If other players see that you can unlock fancy new clothing or shiny new gun camo, then why wouldnt they want to unlock it all in one go?
We all know prestige hacking was a problem in MW2, and wether you like it or not, you know it was a problem. Now that rewards are thrown into the mix, every lobby will be filled with tenth prestigers.

Who's too say that Black Ops will be hackable, Its took nearly two years too Hack W@W (at least on PS3 anyway). So Treyarch have had 2 Years too make Black Ops hack-proof.

Treyarch shouldn't take out rewards for Prestiging just because of the minority of Hackers. Anyway I think people need an incentive now too prestige as the past Cods playing the game for ages getting too tenth prestige wasnt really a merit of distinction because when you get in a lobby all you get it "Oh he's tenth prestige gay ass booster/Hacker."

Im not saying they should not add them im saying they shouldnt give an advantage...and the prestige hack is always found first

That isn't completely true. Godmode and UFO mods were found on CoD4 and WaW before all this prestige hacking stuff was found, but those were patched fairly quickly.

I hope there isn't either. I'm going legit this time whether there is prestige hacks or not and I would rather have my 10th mean something than just being called a hacker.

Your right about the hacks, but still prestige is usually the easiest and most used :\

I hope you have seen the interview on what Treyarch thinks about hacking? I hope people hacking the game get somehow locked.

i will most likely get to prestige 4 and just say f*ck it im doing the prestige hack thats what happened in mw2 and i just want more custom class slots

There are already advantages of having extra classes, (which Treyarch thought of, so I doubt they would remove that), and people will always hack for prestige regardless of the benefits you get. Theres tons of people hacked on MW2 and the benefits gained are pretty small (classes/measly title and emblem), so I doubt that having added benefits would make much difference as a whole.
I'd love to see added benefits for Prestige..

I think its a cool idea.
