- Players may have the option to have customizable iron sights.
- Callsigns return and may be fully customizable.

- The Sniper was not wearing a Ghillie Suit. They may have to be unlocked through the "One Shot One Kill" Challenge like in MW2.
Miscellaneous
- Players can go directly from sprint to prone by diving. While diving, players cannot fire their weapon, and then will have to recuperate after landing.
- The Red Dot Sight may feature an ADS Time decrease, or a Sleight of Hand Pro ability may return.
- Players will receive three spare magazines rather than the standard two spare magazines.
- Players will receive in-game updates about their friends and what they have done.
- Dismemberment/Gore is confirmed to return. It was most likely turned off to prevent the video from being flagged.

A thermal imaging camera takes up his mini-map. The enemy standing in front of the camera glows white hot, while the background consists of shades of black and gray. The "Up" on the D-Pad shows the picture of a surveillance camera. It appears the player's clan tag is etched on the back of his weapon. The player has two Secondary Grenades and one Primary Grenade. There is no XP Bar at the bottom of the screen. The classic ammo counter has also been removed and replaced with a numerical counter.
