One of my biggest inquiries about Black Ops was this new "dolphin dive" addition. For those who don't know what it is, it's a dive the player takes when going from running to prone and it looks like a dolphin dive ;P

I don't know why anyone thought you would be able to drop shit with this. It would not even make sense to be able to shoot while diving to the ground. I mean it's possible, but you'd lose control of the gun when you hit the ground.

The thing is, it will affect dropshotting; I can imagine it being a nuisance to dropshotters when they're sprinting, see someone, and like they're accustomed go do their dropshot but instead end up "dolphin diving".

JD was asked if we could toggle the dolphon dive ff but he didn't reply...

Yh the dolphin dive sucks balls i thought maybe you had to jump then lie down if they did this then you would still be able to drop shot

I'm a 1337 dropshotter & I guess if the dolphin dive is indeed sprint -> prone, then I'll just sprint -> stop & shoot -> drop to the ground shooting.. No more super aggressive gaming as before though

True, he could be a poser, but he is a mod on that chat. Besides, it is true tho, it's been confirmed already. Besides, it would only make sence, your shooting at someone they dive to the side then keep diving, making it impossible to kill.
