I've had bad experiences from AXPROs so i'd stick with my astros .

Btw, never buy Tritton AXPROs the chat cable sucks.

I have the Tritton 720's right now, switched to these after my dog ate my Turtle Beach's X31's. Definitley better than the turtle beaches. The only thing that takes some getting used too is the cord and you cant hear yourself talk so you have to keep your tone of voice in check lol. I wanted to try the astros with the mini amp but didnt want to shell out the 200+ cash on them. So I spent the 130 on the tritton 720's..

Do headphones actually improve gameplay? I've never played with any. Always been the tv speakers and they work just fine

Depends on the quality of the headphones. But with mine and im sure the astro's you can actually tell which direction footsteps and bullets are coming from, so they help me out alot..
