Just wondering what you guys think of the crossbow that has been shown to us through the many BlackOps trailers that have been released. After just watching some stick and stones gameplay (which can be found under the "Gaming News" forum) I've decided that it looks like it could be a bit overpowered.

First: It is more accurate than I originally thought it was (however the balistic knife is not)

Also, the explosion seems pretty large, and many times kills the oppenent without actually sticking to him.

Finally, your are given a fair amount of ammo to start with, and if you have a perk like scavenger, it seems you could pick up more. (though they have announced that "scavenger" will not resupply your most expensive attachement)

Just wondering what you guys think? Will it be a slight annoyance or the next MW2 noob tube?

i think it will be like quick scoping if you miss the 1st shot your pretty much dead

I know a lot of people will be using it and it'll piss a lot of people off because it might be another noob tube.

I think its a good idear but it takes a while to kill someone...

You could be right it could be just another noob tube...but remember that we have flak jaket now and we can run and dive from things as a alternative to survive attacks.....also in a way its more like a accurate grenade cause it give you time to evade before it explodes.....as for the explosion iv seen the gameplay and to be honest you can survive that.....its easy...but at the same time just little kids...and twat's r gonna bitch about it and not learn how to deal with it......maybe scavenger will or will not give more ammo who knows.....all im saying is that you can survive these onslaughts of explosions wit flak jacket or lightweight and a little bit of evasive maneuvering......all and all this will be a fine weapon.....now if it sticks on you let's agree here your super ****ed ain't no coming back :dance:

Think of it this way; in the time it would take to aim and hit someone with the crossbow, you could have easily shot them with your primary weapon in probably half the time. I think the crossbow is gonna be 'underpowered' so to speak, just because there are so many better alternatives.

I Want To Know The Range On These Explosive Arrows Because I Can Imagine A Person At The Start Of Domination Sending 2 Of These To Enemy Flag, That WOULD Be Annoying

I agree that flak jacket will help, and now with the loss of stopping power, it is very likely that it will be the best perk in whatever tier it is in. However if there is a better perk withink it's tier, people might not pick it. I suppose only time will tell

I really don't think there is any advantage with the crossbow, over something like the WA2000, or any other Semi-Auto sniper, unless you can't hit above the belt. About someone said for the range, I really don't think the arrows will dip down for awhile. The trajectory of an arrow is really straight actually, in real life.
