I'm pretty excited about the PSG-1 in the game. It's probably going to be really good, since it requires all snipers to be bought before you can get it. If that's the case, then the Classified AR will be godly, since there's a whole lot of guns to get before you can get it. The PSG-1 just looks sexy, too. It kind of looks like the PTRS.

Its not about finding other ones its more about finding the ones that fit in the game. The thing is to not make it unbalanced you have to not only find the right weapon but also a weapon that somehow matches the variable stats in-game. Example: Take the Browning 1919 featured in WaW compared to the MG42 in the game. The Browning shoots about 450 round per minute and the MG42 shoots about 1350 round per minute. In the game they have little difference but you can still see that the MG42 shoots far faster than the browning. So you have to find a gun that matches the variable stats >all< at the same time. If a weapon shoots smaller rounds in reality (which would in the game influence damage and penetration) and still makes more damage than one that shoots bigger rounds in real that would be nowhere realistic. Its a game and it has to be fair so it needs to be balanced but also it tries to be the most realistic shooter on the market and so they have to pick the weapons that match the stats. Sometimes there aren't any weapons that really fit so they make them a bit unrealistic. In our example the MG42 actually uses bigger rounds than the Browning 1919 still the Browning 1919 makes more damage - Why? Because there weren't many MG's to choose from that were better than the MG42. Nowadays there are so many to choose from and the variability is higher especially because there are different models of weapons. Some models of a weapon have just small changes like the calibre they're using and stuff. So please don't put them at fault for not including other weapons because in the featured timeline they chose the weapons most fitting. (To be a bit more on topic, it is already unrealistic to include the PSG1 because its a weapon designed for use by the police)

I know what you're thinking. I always had this dream of a game that features the customization of the weapon itself and all the different weapons and models. For example a game that has the MP5 should have the A1, A2 and A3 model as well as the SD1, SD2 and SD3. But the difference is A1: No shaft, A2: Fixed buttstock, A3: Retractable buttstock. This would make pretty much no difference at all. The A1 would probably have less accuracy than the other 2 but its mostly the same. Now I have to life with the models they choose that is ok for one. But I really agree on the weaponary. There would be a lot more weapons they could've chosen this would however change a major feature of the game. If you kill someone with the MP5k:P, and he was also using the MP5k:P, you get his ammo when you run over the weapon he leaves on the ground. If you have about 12 Assault Rifles all balanced out this would be a problem. Imagine 12 players all using a different Assault Rifle you could still stack some Ammo if you finally (I hoped for this sooooo long) introduced real calibre. ammunition system but only a small amount will use the same type of ammo. Its kind of useless to introduce as many guns as I would love to have in a game because that would make the game unbalanced but I'm a realism faggot ^^.
