I don't think it's gone technically. I just think all the guns seem to be Stopping Power equipped aka more powerful. Because that G11 and the M16 are still one trigger tap kills if all bullets hit just like when stopping power was used.
I'm glad to use a different perk. But it wasn't a nooby or overused perk.
I mean you could use Hardline to try to get easier care packages/killstreaks/UAV, even though it didn't help once you got your first kill streak.
Danger Close helped make Noobtubes super annoying.
Cold Blooded was a good way to keep from getting owned by Killstreaks all game.
But I think they took it out as an optional perk to keep the internet community from crying. Those who hate Juggernaut vs those who hate Stopping Power.

MW2 from a gun perspective was pretty balanced for the most part. Since we all could use the same guns. The Ump being as powerful as an Assault Rifle tends to be a little unbalanced I'll admit haha.
But take a gun like the M16. If you're good with it, you can be great. But if you're not all that good and are used to spraying all day like with an RPD then M16 isn't all that hot.
Scar is powerful and accurate but the low clip balanced it.
I think guns should have advantages and disadvantages(even though the UMP seemed to have ZERO disadvantages), and it's up to us to make the guns beastly. If every gun was the same, it'd be boring.
