So is the only possible way to get it is by knowing a developer? Or can you jtag it or what? I don't understand.

No-one seems to be answering your question, so I thought I may as well.

A developer let a friend DL the beta from his account (recover XBL ACC + DL from recent history) and that friend did it to his friend, etc.

Basically, you can only get it if someone with the beta lets you recover their account.

It would appear the same trick the PS3 has download off somebody account you can use it

What a bit odd imo is that they are using the 360 store for this beta , i would think they are being charged for this when all they need to do is. Setup a private server build a client and setup there own user database and have to use that.
(maybe that a bit basic and off the mark but i would have done that )

I don't know either man. But, I don't have an XBOX 360 and its released in 3 weeks so im not heartbroken or anything. While they are playing Black Ops, we have to find ways to entertain ourselves so I give you this...

Schwalm couldn't have said it any better. That's how SL0W, for example, got his. He recovered his friend's account and downloaded the beta.

Is it actually a Beta, or is it the actual game? From what I remember in the thread with the video of a guy putting in Black Ops, and going all the way to the main menu, it didn't say "Beta" anywhere. It's probably possible that some store in the whole world got the game a month early. But hey, I could be completely wrong.
