Well lets look at this people, commando was most probably the first perk people used since its between that and steady aim, I know not everyone did but lets just say most did for now. It was a great perk, extra knifing distance when you first start the game was good for us noobs to the COD franchise, being honest who here didn't use it? But then things got out of hand with it, to many people used it wt marathon/lightweight and a tac knife. Yes I have done it and got 1 off a nuke twice so don't say it is bad because it can get you great scores.
I'm saying it may be the new commando because it seems so over powered, i can not only tell where your sentry gun will be since it will glow red but I can make it mine in a matter of seconds, you will be none the wiser and run into it, then you die. Sounds fair doesn't it. People will get there killstreaks they had to earn then the guy on a score of 0-14 comes along "ooh I think I'll use hacker on this sentry gun and kill them all :evil:".
I see this as not fair, but if you can already tell it will be the first perk I attempt to buy since it is so good. Please post your opinions.
For those who are not sure what hacker does, it is like sitrep where enemy equipment glows red. but now it will do it for killstreaks such as sentry guns as well, you go up to them and hold down what I think will be [] on ps3 X on xbox wait a few seconds and the equipment will now be on your team. So it can kill who ever got it/laid it in the first place.
There seems to be some confusion about care packages, I think they are the same as in MW2 where you can just steal them. if I am wrong please correct me and I will edit this part of the post out and replace it.

Well I think its pretty cool, its not really a cheap way to get free kills like Commando.
And I am pretty sure if your killstreak gets hacked you'll hear a voice telling you or you'll see it in the top right corner

Mixed opinions then guys. I know it will the the first perk I buy and get pro on like as stated in the first post, Added a short description for those of you who do not know what hacker is yet.

Let's be realistic, Ninja is going to be more widely used by a majority of the serious gamers our there. It is tailored towards TB or other types of headsets.
Ninja = Quiet footsteps +=Louder Enemy & Totally silent footsteps.
Hey doesn't Hacker also make you invisible to motion detectors?

No, if ur smart enough to call in ur care package somewhere where aren't many enemies, it wont get hacked, if ur not as smart as most of the people u will drop it at the enemy base and u will probably die and lose ur care package.
I think Flat Jacket is the new Commando, like Juggernaut in COD4.

The perk itself, costs about 2000 CP's, which isn't exactly easy to acquire. Then, you have to use the normal version of the perk, for who knows how long? Maybe it will be like MW2, destroy 120 equipment? THEN, you get your pro version.. It's not like there aren't any other perks. Most people won't have time to upgrade a single perk, as they'll be using others as well.
So, now you have your Hacker pro!!
But, it'll probably leave you vulnurable when hacking killstreaks (like other people said). People can hear your footsteps if you aren't using Ninja and so what if you can see things through walls? It makes you more vulnurable because you won't be concentrating on your surroundings, tbh. You'll be looking at the equipment/killstreak and BAM!! You get knifed without even realising it
So, IMHO, I think it's balanced, but you never know with these COD games, there may be a way to exploit it, only time will tell...

Very valid point, but to me it over powered and that is why I will use it, is it the same tier as ninja? i suppose it will be otherwise the perfect combo would be hacker and ninja, walk up to the killstreak silently and then make it your own.
From what I have seen though I think you can buy pro perks version whenever you already have the perk.

Ghost pro + Hacker pro... Lolz and if you can BUY pro perks, that makes it even worse, but I'm sure you have to earn pro versions?

No, Hacker will not be over powered. Hacker demands a very good/smart player for it to become very useful. Reminds me of almost playing as a Spy in Team Fortress 2.
Also, you talk a lot about Sentry Guns which you do not see very often anyways. Basically a mute point.
