(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); not sure if im posting on right thread....just couldnt find what i was looking for.

I been playing cod since cod4 came out. I wasnt the best at it but i was better at it then than I am now... I then bought MW2. I stopped about a month later, didnt play for 2-3 months. After came back I became shitty. I dont wanna tell a life story but it just dissapoints me. I love that game like hell, but those beasts...OMFG

HOW CAN I GET BETTER? WISH THERE WAS A HACK I COULD USE FOR MW2 RIGHT NOW

Your 1st post and the one that everyone would like the easy answer to.

First thing you need to do is define what a good player is to YOU.
Don't believe half the claims of KDR and the beasts everyone says they are. There are some great players on here but we can't all be great.
Set some realistic goals and work toward them.

Spend some time looking around the discussion threads for the older cod forums. The tips apply to all FPS games and there is no 1 or easy answer.

Make sure you have a decent internet speed first. Its tough to get better when you can't kill anyone first.
(U/L Speeds from 8 to 15 mbps are ok )

Work on target aquistion skills.
Set your sensitivity, weapon of choice, and practice how consistently and quick you can focus on the target.
Doesn't matter what speed you use, you just need to fire accurately and stay on target.

Forget about what anybody calls you or what they say about play style.

Stay cautious till you get better and feel you are getting closer to your goals of being a better player.

Most important thing to remember is to have FUN.

What's the point of the effort to get or be a GOOD player if you can't have fun.

Keep asking questions, don't believe all the BS,
Do what feels right for you, and have fun getting to what YOU think is good.

Welcome to NGU !!!

Also another thing is to get a GOOD team to play with. By good I don't mean everyone is getting over 30 kills etc. I mean good as in good teamwork, communication, friendly, your kind of people etc. I got lucky and found my clan randomly in a Hardcore Search game, we've been playing together since WaW. We all maintain pretty good win/loss ratios when together and have fun. When you're having fun winning comes EASY.

You can check your Internet speed by going to speedtest.com on your desktop or use the Internet search function on your PS3.

If you are setting your definition of good as going 100 to 20 in a game you are setting yourself up for disappointment.
One nice feature of Black Ops is that you can view your friends full games from a first person perspective.
There are many ways to contribute to a team and not all are having the highest KDR in a match.
If he is a friend and is on your friends list, I suggest you play with him and take his advice on tactics, watch his games during off times and set smaller goals to meet as you get better.

First find a gun you feel comfortable using and stick with it. Change your sensitivity to about 2 or 3 and keep it there, helps keep on target. Learn routes or common areas people like to be and those are easy kills.
