Written by SchaffinOSX (Retired Staff)

Writer's note: It seems like only yesterday that people were raving about the [false] "zombies hint" on the multiplayer map 'Rust' in Modern Warfare 2. Here we are once again, admiring and many of us still finding the little secrets to maps. Treyarch listened to the community! ... in terms of implementing secrets into the maps, at least.

It seems Treyarch took into consideration the community response to little secrets and hints in maps, as it seems they've added quite a few this time around. The secrets of the 'Nuketown' map have been posted up by Activision's Dan "One of Swords" Amrich, and are in the spoiler below.

1. The Double Rainbow

Let us take a moment to remember the man who got emotional after seeing a double rainbow.

2. A New Method of Advertisement

The Jeep's markings (SOG logo near driver's door, star on rear panel) are identical to those of the 2011 Jeep Wrangler Call of Duty: Black Ops Edition. Yes, we're talking about real life.

3. Historical accuracy... kind of...

According to this photo, the battle takes place at Latchkey and Trinity. No, this is not a case of random names on Treyarch's part. Trinity is the name of the very first atomic bomb test, whereas Operation Latchkey was a series of nuclear tests that took place in the late 60's. Also notice that you're not even at an intersection when you see this sign. You're at a dead end street. Yes, you just learned something from a video game.

5. Population 12 -- Server error -- Population 1

In this image, you'll notice that at the bottom of the sign it says "Population: 09". This isn't some random, constant number, but the number of players currently in the lobby.

6. Time To Go

This clock does a couple of things. One, it keeps track of how much time is left in the match. Instead of checking the conveniently placed time indicator in the corner of your screen, it is of course more logical to run around looking for the clock. Secondly, what happens when that clock hits zero? The name of the town should give it away.

7. RC-XD on the DL

In the back yard of each house is a small hole. No, you can't go prone and crawl through. These are for the RC-XD remote control cars, and allow players to access an area where others cannot. This is great for sneak attacks, and just having a little fun on the ramp beyond the fence. Note: Nuketown isn't the only map to feature these types of shortcuts.

8. Moving Mannequins

You must login or register to view this content.

It's always great when you come across these little things, and then suddenly shout "WHOA!". For many players, this is one of them. At the beginning of each level, Nuketown... ern... changes a bit. At one moment you'll have two mannequins, one of the swing and another pushing, and other times you'll only have one or the other. If you think about it enough, you might just become afraid of this map.

9. The Mannequin "Surprise"

You must login or register to view this content.

This one is still pending. Apparently, if you shoot of all of the mannequin heads, there will be a surprise. Whether you have to do this in a given time limit or not is not determined, and what the surprise is actually supposed to be is unknown. It has been tested various times, and some people claim things have happened, others claim nothing has happened at all. Try it out for yourself.

Keep in mind that, although the secrets of this map have been revealed, there are secrets in the other maps as well. Can you find them?

Error… Cat invasion!
I think that if you get all the heads in record time... It stops you from being able to kill anyone and an ice cream van comes around the corner (playing London bridge or Popeye the sailor). Everyone then just takes a minute to chill out in the 10,000 degree heat. With a Mr. Whippy and a flake. Dancing

How cool would that be!!! :mudkip::whistle:
