Im not saying it sucks, that there is no quickscoping, since I can just take that assault rifle and play with that.

But quickscoping in previous CODs was like just messing around for me, when everything else failed.
It was fun to run and gun and try cool 360's and shit when I got bored of drilling people with other weapon.

-- But now, all I have to do is have that sniping-class just wait there until a map comes, where I can actually snipe ...

I also have only 1 claymore, no way to replenish it back and usually 2+ places where people will run in to kill me ,,, combining this with slightly broken spawnsystem ... this is what happends eventhough the map is preferably good for sniping --->

1. Game starts
2. I run to random house which is on 'our side' and snipe 2 guys.
3. My other team members have now rushed to enemies side and they start spawning in your spawn.
4. First guy usually dies to my claymore
5. I go seek for a corner to camp for next guy ... with my shitty pistol.
6. Guy runs in with ak74 and facerapes me.
7. End of story aka. class-change.


I also had this tactic, even in WaW, where I don't scope at all until I see enemy running somewhere - this made me able to even cover my back or so slighty more ... it is impossible now, since I have to wait that super sweet 2 seconds to scope in, 3 seconds for scope to stop shaking and 2 more seconds for the game to believe I have scoped in ... then It takes 2 seconds to aim.

Total of 9 seconds is just wasted to some anti-qs bullcrap.

In real life, People don't respawn to my back.
In real life, people can't run trought a whole city just to knife me.
Also, in real life I can probably shoot my sniper towards enemy 1 meter away from me and actually hit him without scoping ...

I used to do the same thing. Since it takes so long to scope in on a spot i end up sitting somewhere for like half the game waiting for someone to HOPEFULLY come around the corner. Then like you say 90% of the time the enemy gets spawned right behind me and you can see me plain as day. And the lag is so crappy sometimes, good luck getting a headshot on those matches.

Quick scoping might be gone, but no scoping is definately here. I've never been that good at quick scoping, i only ever tried it when i got bored on MW2, but... someone made a post about no scoping with steady aim seemed fairly easy, and the guy is right. I tried it on combat training yesterday just for a laugh, and i was pulling off medium range no scopes quite regularly, i even managed to get a 6 kill streak from no scoping, for me this is just insane. I will add tho that the bot level was at recruit, so hardly challenging, but you should def give no scoping a try, you might be suprised....

I've had so many games which follow the exact same scenario as your 1-7. I think the only game type where snipers are still a viable option is S&. Great post.

Yea, they wanted to add reaslism to the game and make the game more challenging for people, so they take out quickscoping, keep tac insertions, have floating apples (lol), rc car (i highley doubt an rc car was used back then to infiltrate enemy posts and bunkers).

To end it, it the game was realistic, then it would be battlefield bad company, this is CoD, a game were there is no realism whatsoever, so why do they have to make you hardscope, i hope treyarch realise they might lose alot of money, as some people only play CoD games for clips (e.g. Hutch, Grizz) they dont find it fun and now alot of people simply wont play it,

i guess thats good for the people who do want to play it, less try-hards LOOOL <hypocrit

anyways its not a realistic game and sniping used to be fun, now they might as well take it out and bring in a new set of weapons. (DRIVEABLE TANKS FTW?!)

well i can tell u for sure 100%, today i was playing groundwar and was bored so i pulled out the 9n6-watever its called, and i was pulling of some great quick scopes, i even got a 9 killstreak an got my chopper, at first when i tried sniping,i was terrible, but i kept playing and eventually u get the hang of it and u will also be able to pull it off,
