(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Heres the problem:
I have a great connection and as soon as I started playing Black Ops I started getting dropped from almost every single lobby I join. I receive the message of either "disconnected due to transmission error" or through "unavailable game session". This is on top of not being able to join friends parties and not being able to hear them if I do make it in to one of their sessions.

I have a linksys router and a supposedly open nat type (type 2). I know this because it is displayed on my network connection settings on my PS3 and it is also displayed when I play MW2. When I go to the options menu for multiplayer in Black Ops it displays my NAT type as strict even though in reality its open.

This is affecting me to the point where its a hassle to play the game which is the opposite of what I inteded to do when I purchased the game. Ive tried everyhting from rerouting my ports to making my connection a dmz. Is this something Treyarch can patch because it's a real pain.

Read around a little bit, you'd find that this is happening to everyone.

Best advice I can give you is go to STARTUP MENU type "CMD" then when dos prompt comes up type IPCONFIG get your default gateway. Now go to your web browser and type that it will take you to your router make sure your PS3 is in the DMZ of your router this will make your connection a lot better. Go to PORTFORWARD.c()m choose cod black ops, then your router model and it will give you step by step instructions in case your not sure on something.
