How to get it to open? (Theories)

From what I've heard there are lots of electrical switches across the map. Maybe knifing or shooting all of them would open the hatch?

I've already tried shooting the lock and blowing it up with RPGS, Claymores, Frags, Semtex, and C4. And that didnothing. One thing i did do was throw a concussion grenade at it. The Concusion grenade went through the hatch and exploded which Makes me further believe that's the location of it.

What I need:

I need a group of people who are willing to help me try the theory or any other theories you guys can think of.

• Someone with a mic to watch the hatch at all times to see what we did that opened it.
  
• Someone that can record and put the findings on youtube and send it to me.
  
• Lots of people and ideas.

I would love all this to be true... 3ARC did say there are other easter eggs on different maps and throughout the game... But I think this theory just wouldn't work (and lets not forget... That this has been made up/thought about by someone, with no confirmation).
It's all good trying to think about what other easter eggs could've been put into the game... But lets face it... You're really not going to guess what it is, until someone from Tr3Hard tells us.
Who on earth would've guessed that shooting the heads off the mannequins within 20 seconds in Nuketown, would've played us the Rolling Stones!

My personal opinion would be that someone will intentionally leak an easter egg every month or so... This way makes people try it and keeps interest in the game.. Clever...
I'd also like to be proven wrong... If someone finds an easter egg without a heads up... Well then... My hat goes off to you!

Those yeallow boxes on walls ... they deffinetly must be shot cause I know location of atleast 7 of them and few are in places where you can't knife them.

In my opinon, i dont really think the yellow boxes / speaker boxes mean much, (The yellow boxes are like those things you speak to and the guy inside opens the door for you... iono what they're called), they normally appear next to a door (and to further my belief that they're not important is that there are 2 boxes VERY close to eachother, in the room where you find the hatch. If it does have something to do with hatch, im sorta confuzzled on why they're so close together, because this seems like a pretty hard turret / weapon to get to / unlock. It would only make sense to make the 'yellow boxes' harder to find, but that's just my opinon). But i do agree with that some of the 'yellow boxes' are hard to reach eg: there's a 'yellow box' on the catwalk which leads to the radio tower that you can jump to in the big control room (the room with the radio tapes + 'T' - shaped radar machines)

Good job on the find mate (even tho there were earlier people who had found the hatch lol) but kudos for getting the pics up first and having theroies.
About throwing the concussion nade in the hatch, i think you might have worded this wrong. You CANT actually throw it THROUGH the hatch and it just disappears, what happens is that when you throw the nade in between the ladder and the hatch, the ladder, sorta acts like a 'anti - stun glasses?' lol which gives the illusion of it going in? maybe. You can still hear it go off and sometimes the canister will fall throw the cracks in the ladder.

But my word of advice for you peeps is to:
1. Set up a camera that shows a view of the hatch / ladder (this saves a shit load of time, also saves a person from having to sit there all day watching the hatch)
2. Work TOGETHER is a MUST (Too bad i dont have a PS3 or XBOX 360 only a good gaming desktop :T, btw PS3 or XBOX 360 for FPS? and games in general)
3. Try out everything everyone has said in this thread (apart from the iditios who say go into spectator or thearte, mate... seriously? you dont think we've tried spec or thearte before?)
4. DONT GIVE UP :y:

Im having a re think about those speaker boxes / yellow boxes. Now i think they play somewhat of a role in getting to / unlocking the turret. I have found another speak box on the other side of the barricade of filers and stuff on the cat walk. There's another solid door but this time the speaker box is in a weird poisiton. Not like the others where if this game was REAL and you were a REAL soldier and you were able to press the buttons because they were ACCESSIBLE this time the speaker box is NOT REALLY ACCESIBLE. The speaker box is on the wall but not close to the catwalk and on the 'inside' wall, and if it was REAL, it would be quite hard for the person to press any of the buttons, having to reach over the catwalk and pressing the buttons apposed to placing the box close to the door. Agrhh sorry if i've confused you guys, sorta hard to explain ill put a a picture. Then you might understand what im talking about.

Cause David Van something something stated that theyre will be a special gun thingy on summit (dont have reference but it was on call of duty black ops summit wikia, but later disappeared lol :T). Why would the dev put us on a wild goose chase? The Nuketown one was real and what about this old lady lol?

Not to be a complete noob, but anyone theorize of using a Death Machine or Grim Reaper on this hatch? The vid did mention using a special gun? amirite? :mudkip:
