The new Call Of Duty has only been out a short while yet football stars including Ashley Cole are apparently already hooked on the war based video game.

The Chelsea and England full back even spends up to five hours a night shooting at other online gamers.

A source told The Sun how Ashley is into it so much and that he has become pretty good at it to “Ashley has really put in the hours since he got the latest game, Black Ops. – Every chance he gets he’s on his console, which is why he’s turned into a top-ranked player. – Ashley gives his friends stick if they’re not as good as him – even if it’s on a night out”.

The source continued to say how the gaming sessions can go on for such long periods that the gamers have to take short breaks away from their console! “The battles can really drag on so the group have to take the odd break.

They then reconvene to finish off their mission. – Some nights it can go into the early hours of the morning, but time just seems to pass by without anybody noticing”

Maybe the Chelsea lads are into the game a bit to much looking at their latest form Ashley might have got his team mates staying up a bit to late before match day. Although he has secured his status as the best left back in the world, now he’s going for the best Black Ops gamer award I think, I wonder which he would boast about more?

Times have changed a lot in football, I’m sure players in the 70’s had a much more better social life than what Ashley and pals get up to, and to think Cole and his Chelsea buddies earn huge amounts like £80,000 to £150,000 a week!
