Can anyone help me with this and tell me if it true or not!?

No true...unless you are a camping type of person. The flame thrower was used to rack up mega points for people who knew how to manuever around the map. It was used to bleed points from the zombies while they were on fire...to get points when they died 10 seconds later, and some sort of Powerful gun was used to blast zombies out of the way of your retreat.

So, for a camping gun--Yeah, it sucked.
For a long-term survival gun--it was almost indispensible.

Yep. Only gun you really needed on Der Riese. Raygun helped too, albeit flame was better in the long run

Why doesnt someone just open the console in the pc version and type give all while playing zombie on "five" and see if it gives you a flamethrower or any other interesting goodies?

i saw a guy running round with it but im not very sure if it was a fake video

Flamethrowers suck, a shotgun witch is same range required for each weapon can easily take you down before a flamethrower.
